How it works

Describing a picture is easier than answering a question cold.

That's the whole idea behind the game. A photograph with no fixed meaning gives everyone at the table something to say. An ocean is a summer holiday to one person and a long swim to another. Neither is wrong, and saying which one you see is a lot easier than answering "so, how was your week?" across the table.

The two-draw game

1. Pull a photo card. Look at it for a moment. Say what you see, out loud. First thing, no editing.

2. Pull a question card. It asks about what you just said, the way a curious friend would: Give this image a title. What in your life could wear the same title? Say one sentence about it, as if to a friend.

3. That's it. One round takes about sixty seconds. The field guide has longer rounds, a solo version, and a version for two.

Start light, go as deep as you like

Every question card has three questions and level dots from 1 to 5. Level 1 is an easy warm-up. Level 5 is for the evenings when nobody wants to get up from the table yet. The table decides.

Who plays

Two people on date night. A table of friends after dinner. The grown kids home for the weekend. Or just you and a coffee for ten minutes. With two or more, pull one photo, everyone says what they see, then read the question card together. Nobody has to go first.

When will I be charged?

At checkout, like a standard order. Your first-edition deck ships by Tuesday, October 6, from our US fulfilment centre — and you can cancel any time before it ships for a full, immediate refund. If we ever can't ship, you're refunded in full, no questions asked.
